What is International Make Music Day?

International Make Music Day is the celebration of music around the world. Every year on June 21, cities around the world celebrates by having festivals and playing music the entire day. The holiday first originated in France, called the Fête de la Musique in 1892. Now International Music Day is held in over 1000 cities in 120 countries around the entire world.


Make Music Day San Diego


For the first time, APT 4 Music is hosting the San Diego International Make Music Day Festival in Liberty Station! The festival will consist of walk-around music stations, with main bands playing throughout the day. This is a family-friendly event with activities like a musical Petting Zoo, musical Storytelling, interactive music lessons, and much more! There will be food available as well as prizes for some of the activities.


The San Diego International Make Music Day Festival is on June 21. It will be held at the North Promenade behind Stone Brewery in Liberty Station from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Come join us at the first-ever International Make Music Day Festival in Sunny San Diego, California!
